Who is World Vision?

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.

World Vision is the largest, non-governmental provider of clean water in the developing world reaching a new person with clean water every 30 seconds!

Why is it a 6K instead of a 5K?

Six kilometers, or 3.7 miles, is the average distance a person in Africa has to walk to find water, and many times that water isn't even safe to drink. We want to help you make that fact personal by covering that same distance so that someone else no longer has to.

Why does this race cost $50?

Through World Vision water projects, $50 will provide clean water for one person. Your $50 registration fee will provide clean water for one person. That means every 6K for Water participant equals lasting clean water for another person. Learn more about clean water.

Can kids participate?

Yes! We want families and children to participate in this event. Children of all ages can register as a participant to run or walk the 6K distance. Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult the entire time they are on the race course. More information coming closer to race day!

Are strollers allowed on the course? Can I walk it?

Yep. This is a walker and stroller friendly race, go at your own speed! We will have a special corral for participants with strollers at the back of the pack.

Will this race be chip-timed?

Yes, each participant will be timed through a "chip-timing system".

Will there be AWARDS?

Yes, each finisher will receive a custom "Finisher's Frame" to preserve their unique bib and remember their impact.

Special Awards for the top 3 Overall Men and top 3 Overall Women
Age group awards for top 3 Men and top 3 Women in each age group

Can I pick up my bib on race day? When and where is packet pick-up?

Yes, you can pick up your bib on race day, but we recommend picking it up before race morning. More details about the dates, times, and locations for packet pick-up coming April 2020!

Can I get my registration fee refunded?

Once you've registered for the race, you've provided clean water for 1 person! So whether you can come to the event or not (we sure hope you can), feel good about the fact that you've changed a life!
