NYCRUNS Brooklyn Marathon + Half Marathon
Race Weekend Guide

Saturday, October 20, 2018

Welcome to the fun of planning your race weekend! I am so proud of how far you’ve come over the last weeks and months. Thank you for saying YES to train for this physical challenge - I hope you’ve grown from it. Thank you for saying YES to clean water for kids in Africa with every text message and email you send, every phone call and Facebook post you make.

As you prepare to run, this race becomes the fulfillment of what we’ve been working toward. Soon our team of 250 teammates will flood the streets of Brooklyn in our signature orange jerseys and our mission in action.

Hope you’re as pumped as I am. I cannot wait to see you!

Race Day Details for Spectathletes

Cheer station: Miles 4 & 10 at Park Circle (southwest corner of Prospect Park
Time: 7:15am-10:30am
Parking: International Baptist Church (312 Coney Island Avenue, Brooklyn) or take the subway via F or G train to Fort Hamilton

Park Circle is at mile 4 heading out toward Ocean Parkway and Mile 10 on the return so it's a great place to see your runner twice! Join other Team World Vision fans by looking for the orange flags and wearing your orange! From the cheer station, you can walk through Prospect Park to catch your runner at mile 12.6 (a one-mile walk) or see them cross the finish line and meet you at the TWV tent for the post-race celebration.

Finish Line party: 9:00am-12:00pm. Pizza for everybody!
Finish Line party location: Team World Vision tent in the Nethermead, located almost smack in the middle of Prospect Park. There is no public transportation to this area, so your best bet is to walk along the park drive inside the park. Walk south if you are coming from the Start Line at Grand Army Place of Brooklyn Museum. Walk north if you are coming from Park Circle Cheer Station or the south end of the park. The major road intersecting the park is Center Drive. Follow google maps and head towards the orange TWV tent and flags!
