6 kilometers is the average distance that people in the developing world walk for water — water that is often contaminated with life-threatening diseases. On Saturday, May 6th, 2017, people from around the globe will walk or run an average distance for an extraordinary cause.

From fast runners to leisurely walkers, thousands of people will unite around the globe on a mission together to bring clean water to communities in need. World Vision works in over 100 countries and brings clean water to 1 new person every 30 seconds.

World Vision is the leading non-government provider of clean water, bringing clean water to families and communities throughout the world. When you register for the Global 6K for Water you will get to walk or run your 6K for a unique child from these communities!
