March 21, 2018 Update!  Hurray!!! After training 258.49 miles, after a miracle from God (see Jan. update) ... after 35 people generously donated so that as a team we saved SEVENTY - FIVE children ... I completed the marathon, injury-free, at 2 hours 58 min with a personal record of 13:23 min/mile.  And it doesn't stop there!  After the marathon, more people joined my team by giving and now we have saved EIGHTY - SEVEN children!  Thank you all, and God bless the children in Africa!  All Glory and Honor go to our LORD JESUS CHRIST!

January 30, 2018 Update!  Only 7 weeks left?!  On November 29, giving Tuesday I raised $1950!  3 days later, I was running 2 miles before work.  I stepped on a rock and was barely able to walk by 5:00 when I had a Parent Meeting.  One of the parents lent me a walking boot and at 10:00 PM I took it off - and have felt no pain ever since!  My sports doctor friend says it's a miracle!  Thank You God!

Back to my letter:

For the 7th year in a row, I'm running with Team World Vision to help provide clean water for communities in Africa!  24 weeks of training seems so long and hard to me.  I still have arthritis in my ankle, I still hate to run.  I am 61 and overweight.  But I'll be running with a team which includes five of my MPCS staff, my husband and my sister Carol (who is Captain of our team).  And I and whoever joins me by donating will be saving a life for every $50.  Of course I'm still going to do it!  The needs are real, but we believe that we can end the clean water crisis in our lifetime.

$50 = clean water for 1 person.

Will you invest in the future and provide clean water for 1, 2, 3, or even more people in Africa? We can help change lives, together.

Thanks for your support!
