I'm really excited to be training for my 6th Chicago Marathon! I'm running with Team World Vision to help provide life-changing clean water to children and communities in Africa. I've set my fundraising goal to "manageable," but I'd really like to blow it out! Together, we can do this!
The marathon is on October 7, 2018, and I'd like to surpass my fundraising goal of $3,000 well in advance of that! Please help me exceed this goal!
There are two KEY ways you can help, outside of encouragement, prayer, and conversation with me about this sport and this cause:
1. Make a donation in any amount.
Nearly 1,000 children under age 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene. But we believe the global water and sanitation crisis can be solved within our lifetimes.
$50 = clean water for 1 person
Will you invest in the future and provide clean water for 1, 2, 3, or even more people?
2. Sponsor one or more children through World Vision! This is an excellent way to maximize your impact! For every sponsored child, $1,000 (yes, you read that right) will be allocated to my fundraising effort! THAT'S RIGHT...you sponsor a child, and it is as if you have donated $1,000 to my fundraising. It's real!
I currently sponsor two children. It is a joy to do that. Many children have been waiting many months for sponsors. I'm sure many of you sponsor children now through this or another organization. Consider one more...Think about it!
There is a tiny bit of additional information you need to provide if you do this. If you would like to sponsor a child, please use this link to do so. After you complete the quick and easy process, please complete this form to attach your sponsorship to my fundraising. It's that easy!
If you have any questions or issues completing your donation or sponsorship, please contact me! email@example.com. I will help you!
Thank you very much for your support. If you would like to follow my training this year, please check out my running blog.
