I'm running with Team World Vision to help provide life-changing clean water to children and communities in Africa. The average distance traveled by someone in developing countries to get water is 6 kilometers (3.7 miles). I love helping people and want to follow God's calling to help those in need. In that spirit, starting at 8:00AM on Saturday, August 11th, at Northview High School, I'm planning on running a 6k every hour, on the hour, for 24-hours! Join me for all or part of the day and help me raise awareness and money to help save lives in Africa!
If you'd like to join me at Northview High School on the 11th, we'll have a couple specials happening:
-Every $50 donation allows you to run one 6K with me.
-If you bring a group of 10 or more and each donate $10, you all can run a 6K with me.
-If you donate $10 or more, you will get a 6K All Day bracelet (while supplies last).
Nearly 1,000 children under age 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene. But we believe the global water and sanitation crisis can be solved within our lifetimes.
$50 = clean water for 1 person
Will you invest in the future and provide clean water for 1, 2, 3, or even more people?
World Vision provides more clean water than any nongovernment organization in the world, providing clean water to one new person every 10 seconds. They work to help communities lift themselves out of poverty for good by addressing issues around clean water, hunger, health, education, economic empowerment, and child protection. About World Vision
