Since 2015, I've run two half-marathons and three marathons with Team World Vision, to provide life-giving clean water for people in under-resourced communities in Africa.

In October of 2019, I'm running the Grand Rapids Marathon with the goal of raising $5,000 to provide clean water, sanitation and hygiene for 100 people.

I've been to Africa several times, visiting Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa. Wherever you go in Africa, they have this saying: "Water is Life."

Believe me, these words come to life when you're there and you see how people in many communities, most often women and children, have to walk miles and miles to get water - water that isn't really safe to drink.

And when you hear that nearly 1,000 children under age 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by contaiminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene.

I've had the privilege of seeing first-hand the work that World Vision is doing to help end the global water and sanitation crisis, and I'm glad to partner with them again this year.

Did you know that a gift of just $50 changes someone's life forever by giving them clean water and improved sanitation and hygiene?

Would you join me in investing in the future by providing clean water for 1, 2, 3, or even more people in Africa? Your support will be a blessing for me, and for all the vulnerable children and families who will receive the gift of clean water.

Thanks for your support!
