My name is Kayla and I'm answering a call on my heart once again to run with Team World Vision this coming May to help provide clean water for communities in Africa. The needs are real, but we believe that we can end the clean water crisis in our lifetime.
Last year, I made a commitment to run with World Vision for my first ever half marathon. I never could have imagined the great impact it would have on my life-not just during the season of training and leaning into the Lord for strength but also the impact it made on the children I ran for as well as the days ahead that have lead me to say YES once again.
I didn't know it at the time, but my season of training has helped condition my heart for a rough year in 2019. There were so many situations, choices, changes and experiences that came my way this past year that made me go back to depending on the Lord and allow him to pull me through. He is absolutely faithful time and time again! I'm looking forward to another conditioning season as I run in 2020.
Serving those in need by running this upcoming half marathon and having your support is more life-giving than you may ever know. Than even I may ever grasp!
Together, we can help meet the needs of those who struggle so hard to get clean water that we so freely take advantage of here in the United States. I am running for the women and children who fight each day for their lives as they struggle with sickness and death due to water-related diseases and endure miles of walking to even get to a source of this bacteria infested water.
YOU can make a difference in their lives! $50 = clean water for 1 person. Will you help me reach my goal of bringing clean water to at least 60 people? We can help change lives together!
Thanks for your support!
