I'm running the Chicago Marathon in October with Team World Vision to help provide life-changing clean water to children and communities in the developing world.

At Faith Church, I learned about Team World Vision and their purpose, clean water for all and I felt compelled to do my small part.

Nearly 1,000 children under age 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene.

Water is so plentiful for us, bottled, tap, distilled, R/O, with fizz or not, flavored, cold, hot, in plastic, glass, stainless, etc....it is something we take for granted. Without it we can't survive.

It got me thinking about my obsession with water. Its amazing, almost supernatural. It's alive with energy, it's not duplicatable. It's God made.

When I lived in the Virgin Islands many years ago, I experienced, for the first time, water shortage. It was kind of funny when I arrived that the local quote was, "In the land of sun and fun, never flush for number one." That is, until it didn't rain and we had none in storage and it wasn't funny anymore. It was limited, but, at a price, still available for necessities.

But that isn't the case for so many. Some children and families walk miles daily to collect contaminated water that makes them sick.

But we believe the global water and sanitation crisis can be solved within our lifetimes.

My goal is $5,000 and any contribution is greatly appreciated.

$50 = clean water for 1 person

Will you invest in the future and provide clean water for 1, 2, 3, or even more people?

Help me increase my impact by sponsoring a child! Child sponsorship and clean water funding work hand in hand to address the needs of a community. Choose a child to sponsor or allow a child to choose you using the links below. Be sure to let me know if you sponsor a child so that I can celebrate the start of this awesome journey with you!

*Keep a note of your sponsored child's first name (if available) and your order number to send back to the TWV participant you are supporting.
