World Vision Next Gen 6K for Hunger Response in Somalia

In Somalia, suffering is closing in from all sides.

3.7 million people in Somalia are in the grip of a deadly hunger crisis - and the number is expected to rise to 4.3 million by the end of 2023.
 
In the most vulnerable areas of Somalia people are not only facing starvation but also, conflict, drought, and geographic isolation.  These circumstances have made relief efforts nearly impossible, and the situation is desperate.  
 
There is an urgent need for resources that will go directly to supporting people in the hardest to reach, long-neglected parts of Somalia.   
 
World Vision Next Gen is committed to raising $1 Million to fund humanitarian, emergency and hunger response efforts in Somalia to enable World Vision to deepen and expand its reach to the long-neglected, most-vulnerable-populations in Somalia.

Walk, run, roll, or move 6 kilometers and help us save lives in Somalia. You can do it from anywhere!

On Saturday, October 7th, you can join people from across the United States (from every generation) at local schools, churches, community paths and on home workout equipment to travel 6K, the average distance women and children in the developing world have to walk daily for clean water. Your participation will bring lifesaving support to people who are suffering in Somalia due to the hunger crisis.

The World Vision Next Gen 6K will raise awareness and funds that will bring lifesaving support to children and families affected by the hunger crisis who are living in the most hard to reach places in Somalia.  With your help, Next Gen has a goal of raising $25,000 through this event that will go towards our audacious goal of raising a total of $1 Million for the people of Somalia.
