We run to help bring life to those who live without access to clean water. The three years we have run one of our biggest supporters has been George Pott, Denise's dad and the girls' grandfather. He passed away on Wednesday Sept. 5 and we know he is cheering us on in the fight to bring clean water to all. He had a loving heart and cared deeply for those around him. He and Denise's mom have asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Team World Vision. We are so honored to continue his legacy of caring for others in the name of Jesus.
The Jones family is once again running to help raise money for clean water projects. We continue to run, through heart problems, crazy work shifts, and busy school schedules because we believe everyone deserves access to clean water.
A child recently asked asked how much money it cost for a someone to get clean water. When I told her $50 she said, “that’s it? I Thought it would be more!” This is why we keep running and will continue working to end the water crisis until it is over. This is real. This is personal. This is something we can’t do alone. Nearly 1,000 children under age 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene. But we believe the global water and sanitation crisis can be solved within our lifetimes. $50 = clean water for 1 person
Will you invest in the future and provide clean water for 1, 2, 3, or even more people? Thank you for joining with us on this journey!
