I started running back in 2011 when I got serious about my health. I was inspired by my little brother Joey when he ran the Bank of America Chicago Marathon in 2010. I started out with a 5K, then a 10K, then a Half Marathon.  I proceeded to run the Chicago Marathon in 2012 and 2013. Then after running the Chicago Half Marathon in 2014, I vowed that I would never run again...until today!

On Saturday, May 18th, Steve from Team World Vision was at The Chapel Libertyville giving information about the team. I came up to him and literally said, "I don't know why I'm coming to talk with you because up until this point I had no desire to run." And then it dawned on me...WATER.

Let me explain, at the beginning of 2019, I made a commitment to focus on my health primarily through changing my eating habits by working with my health coach, Reed Paul, having portion controlled meal replacements, monitoring my calorie intake, getting a good amount of sleep each night, and drinking at least 128 oz of WATER each day. I've lost over 70 lbs. Water is an essential component to my health journey.

I'm running with Team World Vision to help provide life-changing clean water to children and communities in the developing world.

Nearly 1,000 children under age 5 die every day from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene. But we believe the global water and sanitation crisis can be solved within our lifetimes.

$50 = clean water for 1 person

Will you invest in the future and provide clean water for 1, 2, 3, or even more people?

It can be so easy to take water for granted, so please, join me on this journey to provide clean water for at least 60 children! If you are a parent, how many kids (child or adult) do you have? How many nieces or nephews do you have? Would you consider donating $50 for each person that you love or care about who is able to have clean drinking water every day; something that you and I probably take for granted...every day?

Matthew 25:35-40 says:

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Thank you for making your impact today!

In His Love,

Tony Jao
