FUNDRAISING UPDATE: After an incredible world water day, I'd like to push it one more time and try for uncharted territory: $30,000 or 600!

Why Do I Run? I'm running with Team World Vision to help provide life-changing clean water to children and communities in the developing world. London 2025 will be my 4th marathon, and my first ever international race!
Nearly 1,000 children under age 5 die every day from medical conditions caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and improper hygiene. In an area without access to clean water, a child has a 50% chance of not living to age 5. This isn't just due dehydration, but also due to a lack of cleanliness and sanitation. We don't just drink water, but also wash food, clothing, and our hands with it. Can you imagine trying to bathe without clean water?
The water crisis is very simple, and solvable. Unfortunately, it can be a root cause of poverty causing issues, which is why I believe it is key to provide clean water first. I believe the global water and sanitation crisis can be solved within our lifetimes.
Did you know?
- 700 million people lack access to clean water.
- These people have to walk an average of 4 miles (6 kilometers) per day to gather water.
- Water is typically gathered in 5 gallon jerry cans, which weigh 42 pounds when filled.
Can you imagine walking 2 miles, gathering a jug of water, then walking 2 miles back home? This is what that reality is like:

Thank you for your consideration, support and contributions! My heart broke for those who do not have clean water in 2022. Since then, I've run 3 marathons and fundraised quite a bit. I don't know how long this marathon thing is going to last, but I hope that I am granted the strength to continue on for years. I truly believe that we can solve the water crisis within my lifetime (and I'm 37)! A lack of clean water is a fundamental cause of poverty and hardship, and that by tackling this issue, we can exponentially improve this world. THANK YOU for being part of the journey!
