These are 2 women I met in Ethiopia in June 2023. They come to this pond every single day to get water for their families for cooking, drinking and bathing.  My heart was broken as I watched them walk away carrying those heavy containers on their backs, full of water that wasn't safe. I couldn't do anything to help them that day, but I have a mission to make sure they have a safe source of water  someday very soon.

Here's my story...

I have been running marathons and raising money for World Vision since 2018 when I first heard that 50% of children don't live to celebrate their 5th birthday because of deadly illnesses caused by drinking dirty, unsafe and contaminated water.  I was able to spend some time in Ethiopia in June 2023 visiting communities where World Vision is working to bring clean water and hope and life and new opportunities to children and their families.

So much good  work has been accomplished, but there is more to do.   So I am going back in 2024 to run the Comrades Marathon,  spend time in Ethiopia visiting more communities and my prayer is to change more lives.

Please join me and let's change the world ... one life at a time.

With thankfulness,

Danita

Will you invest in the future and provide clean water for 1, 2, 3, or even more people?
