Total Sponsored: 61 children Sponsorship Goal: 60 children

I'm climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with Team World Vision to help find sponsors for precious children from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Here's my story:

I have lived a relatively comfortable and privileged life. I have a loving family, good education, and have been afforded numerous opportunities to travel within the US as well as internationally.

It was an eye opening experience to spend time in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Honduras. It had been sobering to see first hand the way much of the world lives.  In 2018 my wife and three children moved from the desert of Phoenix, AZ to the beautiful “North Shore” of Duluth, MN. What an incredible contrast! Daily, we experience the wonder, beauty and power of the largest freshwater lake in the world (by area) - I suppose that’s why they call it Lake Superior.  It’s hard to fathom the lengths some people go through to just to acquire water. And probably water I would never let my kids to drink.

I have never been one to set big goals, but this November, I turn 40, so I wanted to work towards something big, hopefully something that would benefit me, my family, and others too. In July I will be spending time with Team World Vision and head to Tanzania to try and summit Africa’s largest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro! As I train for this hike I am reminded how Jesus met a woman at the well and offered her “Living Water.”

Wouldn’t it be great if we could help communities in need have access to life saving water!?!

Together we can help make a real difference!
